The contractor has begun the process of opening the doors of the
dam. They have one door open and are working on the remaining
three. What that means is that for you canoeists and kayakers,
the water level will be dropping over the next several hours and
days. The Miami Conservancy District believes that water levels
will stay high enough for water recreation this summer. Please
be aware that, depending on weather conditions and other
factors, there may be times when water levels may not support
watercraft at some locations on the river.
